Palisade Christian Church
Corbin Shipp, Minister
Corbin Shipp grew up and graduated high school in Geneseo, Illinois. Although he could not ever sit still and was a handful, he was encouraged in his faith and loved by his family and local church. He served six years in the Army, then went to college at Southern Illinois University, where he earned his B.S. degree in Forest Management. After moving around for work, Corbin finally settled in western Colorado and eventually met his beautiful wife, Melissa. Together, they have one son named Hunter. Corbin and Melissa became members of Clifton Christian Church and started volunteering and finding ways to serve. Corbin had some serious health struggles that caused him to refocus on the purpose of his life and to focus on what God’s will for his life was. After many years of trying to be a Christian alone, he finally realized that what his mother had been telling him for decades was true: life is about relationships! Together, Corbin and Melissa have been active in children's ministry, camps, premarital counseling, facilitating a Life Group, and more. Corbin has also served as a deacon and in youth ministry as he searched for his calling. Corbin and Melissa gladly went to serve at the church in Palisade to help foster growth and relationships within the community. Eventually, he found what God had been calling him to when he was asked to serve as minister at the Palisade Campus.
